I bought this thinking it was just a neck massager, but it turns out it’s more like a light tens unit — it uses electrical pulses to stimulate your muscles. It’s not painful, but it does cause twitching, which can be surprising if you’re not expecting it.
The description really should be clearer about that. If you’ve never used a tens/ems device, this might catch you off guard.
⚠️ Not ideal if you have a pacemaker, neurological issues, or heart conditions.
⚠️ Be careful not to place it too close to your head, throat, or the sides of your neck.
I have a short neck, so even trying to place it near c7 (the base of the neck) was difficult. The pulses made my neck twitch and i could feel it up toward the side of my head — which didn’t feel super safe.
If you know what you’re doing and keep it low (closer to the upper back or traps), it can help with tension. But for the average person expecting a basic massager, this needs better instructions and warnings

Not too bad of a product, but you have to keep the buttons on the back inside of the thing pushed in all the way if you want to feel any of the tens unit effects. Otherwise a good product with great customer service and fast shipping.
